Colin K. McCarthy


Colin McCarthy focuses his practice on all areas of construction litigation, representing subcontractors, contractors, developers, architects and engineers in a wide-array of construction matters. He has published a number of articles pertaining to the construction industry.

Mr. McCarthy is very active in the Orange County community, serving as president of his neighborhood association and as a member of the Board of Directors of Orange County Head Start, Inc. where he serves on the finance and audit committees. Mr. McCarthy was also appointed by the Costa Mesa City Council to serve on the City’s Redevelopment and Residential Rehabilitation Committee and the Friends of Fairview Park Fundraising Committee. A 1998 graduate of The University of California, Santa Barbara, he earned a B.A. in Political Science with honors and received the University Award of Distinction. Mr. McCarthy received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2001 where he was a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review and the Dean’s List.

Mr. McCarthy is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association’s Construction Law Section. Mr. McCarthy has also been admitted to practice in each of the California Federal District Courts as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
